Rotorua District Council, NZ is converting its streetlight network to eco-friendly LED technology
Rotorua District Council is spending $2.6 million to replace 4,500 local street lights with environmentally-friendly LED technology. The new LED lights are more energy-efficient, require less maintenance, produce less light pollution, and provide higher quality lighting compared to the existing street lights. Additionally, the LED lights have an average life span of 20 years, compared to the four years for the current lights, which will reduce costs long-term for the Council.
