Обобщение
Launched in 2015, the FresGO app provides Fresno citizens with a single, centralized location where they can easily report and track public nuisance complaints – including everything from potholes to graffiti to illegal fireworks.
Submitting issues through the app is a simple as pressing a button or snapping a photo. Once submitted, citizens can use the app to track the status of their requests, or sign up for automated update alerts.
FresGO has proven to be an excellent tool for improving service delivery and boosting citizen engagement. Residents can see what is going on in the city and give feedback on service levels, while city workers benefit from improved insight into issue trends and the ability to better distribute resources.
The app’s ease-of-use has been particularly important. In the past, many issues went unreported because manually submitting service requests was such a hassle. With FresGO, however, users can report issues in a matter of seconds. Citizens can also access FresGO through their browsers, making it straightforward to report issues from computers as well as smartphones.
Since FresGO was launched, the city has received over 300,000 service requests through the app; and often, city workers are able to respond the very same day. For instance, there have been more than 75,000 graffiti reports that have been handled within 24 hours. Feedback from citizens has been overwhelmingly positive, and the city has been able to improve its operations based on the new data.
