Kane County worked with bikeshare operator Koloni to place bikes and docking stations near downtown areas and trails in four cities. Fox Valley Bike Share users pay to ride by the hour, month, or year through the Koloni app. Bikes can be returned to any Koloni rack in Kane County, providing flexibility for one-way trips. The county offered subsidies to participating governments in an effort to reduce upfront costs.

An effort to establish a countywide bike-share system is getting the thumbs-up from municipalities, colleges and other entities across Kane County, officials said.
