London Borough of Havering partnered with Tapestry Care UK to launch the Telephone Befriending Service and the Care Call Service. The befriending phone line was created for Havering residents feeling isolated and lonely during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The care call service provides residents with a regularly scheduled phone call to determine if they require any essential supplies or need access to entertainment.
