The city of Alexandria's Emergency Communication Center is partnering with RapidDeploy to implement the RadiusPlus Mapping cloud-based system. The RadiusPlus Mapping system uses the location-based settings on Apple and Android smartphones to automatically pinpoint the location of the caller with an accuracy range of approximately three meters. The system will operate more efficiently and accurately than the city's previous 911 technology.
