Prince William County launched a new resident-facing 311 portal in May 2025, giving residents a central place to submit service requests and get answers to questions. Prince William County, VA Digital Prince William pilot to help older adults use mobile technology
Prince William County’s Department of Information Technology partnered with the Prince William Area Agency on Aging to launch the Digital Prince William pilot program. The program offers free in-person classes to help older adults learn basic functions, security features, and practical skills with mobile technology. The pilot program was designed to address the digital divide and improve technology literacy.

Prince William County, VA deployed Next Generation 9-1-1 technology to process emergency calls
Prince William County deployed the new Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) technology to process its emergency calls. By upgrading its 911 infrastructure the county can now obtain better location data from callers and transfer misrouted calls faster. Eventually the county will be able to receive photos from callers during a incident and those photos will be available via a FOIA records request from the county's Department of Public Safety Communications.
