Mechelen, VAN LUPYS electric vehicle charging stations pilot

The city of Mechelen launched a pilot of the new LUPYS electric vehicle charging stations in three local neighborhood districts. The LUPYS charging stations are installed against the façade of terraced homes and connected to the meter cupboard rather than being placed on roadways or footpaths. During the pilot, the city covers the purchase and installation costs with the user only paying for the electricity to charge their vehicle via a mobile app.
