Stafford County partnered with the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) to launch the Virginia Smart Community Testbed. The new testbed was established to explore IoT deployment using 5G communications and other emerging technologies in real-word settings. The Smart Community Testbed will also serve as a platform to develop drone technologies and smart flood controls alongside an additional 15 commercial partners.
