Oakland, CA expands sanitation services to prevent COVID-19 outbreaks among homeless residents
Oakland, CA sanitation services for homeless during outbreak
The City of Oakland is partnering with Alameda County to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among unsheltered residents. This project expands sanitation services to homeless encampments which are a population vulnerable to outbreaks. These sanitation services include increased distribution of hand sanitizers, hygiene packets, and educational materials. This project also includes the installation of additional toilets, hand sanitizer stations, and wash stations at 20 encampment sites.
