Chandler, AZ First-Mile Last-Mile Pilot Ridesharing Transit
The one-year pilot with Lyft provides a 50% discount to commuters within southern Chandler. Participants must start or end their trips within a quarter-mile of the pilot area's 54 bus stops. Transit officials estimate that the $6-per-ride cost will be less expensive than the $900,000 per year needed to expand existing bus routes. Chandler can extend this pilot using up to four one-year extensions.
