The borough will add 182 on-street EV chargers over two stages by the end of 2021. EV owners gain experience with the lamppost chargers through a seven-location pilot preceding borough-wide installation. Local residents advocate for EV charging locations by completing an online survey and see other suggestions on an interactive map. Tower Hamlets originally aimed for 150 on-street chargers by 2025 but accelerated its plans with outside funding.
