Breckland Council, GB shared waste management contract

Breckland Council partnered with North Norfolk District Council and Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk on waste management. The three councils entered into a shared £250 million contract with a single provider, Serco, for waste and recycling collections, street cleaning, litter management, etc. By sharing the legal fees and procurement costs the three councils have effectively increased the efficiency and reduced the cost of waste management for their taxpayers.
