Porirua City Council, NZ investigating speeding smart signs

Terminé

Porirua City Council's Village Planning and Transport teams partnered with the Paremata Residents Association to investigate the speeding cars outside the Paremata Primary school. The issue was presented to the Council through a class project which recorded traffic patterns and advocated for safer streets. After confirming the issue through official monitoring, the Council installed a smart sign which uses sensors to detect speeding vehicles and trigger flashing lights warning its a School Zone.
