Allerdale Borough Council launched the "Eat Out to Help Out" campaign to support local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Any residents eating at a participating restaurant saved 50%, up to £10 per person, of the cost of their bill. The Council provided participating restaurants with promotional materials and they were featured on the "Visit Allerdale" website.
