Bridgeport, CT Earn While You Learn Academy

The program trains Bridgeport residents to become emergency medical technicians (EMT). Each 10-week session includes free evening courses, on-the-job training, and certification materials from AMR. Successful participants then work part-time EMT schedules for one year before qualifying for full-time work with AMR. The Earn While You Learn Academy lowers training barriers for residents from different professions who want to serve their community as EMTs.
