Chicago, IL Array of Things Sensor Network Real-Time Data
Terminé
The Array of Things began with 140 IoT nodes affixed to streetlights throughout Chicago. Each node houses cameras and climate sensors for anonymized data collection. Node locations were determined following consultations with city departments and local residents. Publicly available data are used by researchers for studies of neighborhood-level air quality and traffic patterns. City officials worked with partners like Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago on the project.
