Burnley Borough Council, GB is helping children study online during COVID by funding IT support
Burnley Borough Council partnered with Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Services (BPRCVS) to help children study online during the COVID-19 pandemic. The partnership is working with 20 local schools to provide IT support to families struggling during the lockdowns. The Council is providing funding for computers, laptops, and broadband service for approximately 600 children in the borough.

Burnley Borough Council launched "WhoDunit?" a website designed specifically for residents to report local dog owners who fail to clean up after their dogs. The website was created as part of the Council's larger campaign to reduce dog fouling and encourage residents to hold each other accountable. Residents can use to website to provide enforcement officers with valuable information including a description of the owner, the dog, and the location of the offense.

Burnley Borough Council partnered with various local Councils, volunteer services, private businesses, and faith-based institutions to launch the "Burnley Together" community hub. The hub was designed to offer vulnerable residents with a single point of contact for support during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hub provides access to goods and services being offered by local businesses and groups including dog walking, housing advice, social support, obtaining food parcels and medications, etc.
