Dundee City Council, GB diversifies solutions for electric vehicle charging on streets and car parks
The city worked with Urban Foresight to evaluate pop-up EV chargers on busy streets. Each retractable charger supports up to six EVs at a time with minimal public cost or footprint. This pilot coincides with the development of three solar-powered charging hubs at city car parks. A rooftop solar system and on-site battery allow each hub to recharge up to 20 EVs. Dundee offered free charging for both projects at the start with charging rates to be introduced in the future.
