Fingal County Council partnered with 18 businesses for the installation of hotspots on their properties. Forty-seven hotspots operated by Magnet Networks offer a 150-meter range for outdoor users without impacting business networks. Local officials funded the network with €120,000 in WiFi4EU vouchers. The development of a free public Wi-Fi network is a key element of the county's Public Wi-Fi Roadmap for a more digitally inclusive community.

County officials worked with ESB Innovation to monitor traffic in the Dublin 15 district. This pilot generated real-time data on vehicle speed, dwell times, and congestion levels. The Dublin 15 district was selected due to its proximity to traffic bottlenecks including the airport and two major motorways. Fingal County adjusted traffic lights based on pilot results with an eye toward future smart traffic projects.

The 3D VR experience walks residents through six years of planned town rejuvenation projects. Fingal County Council partnered with Enterprise Ireland and Smart Dublin to launch the “Unheard Voices Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Challenge”. As part of SBIR, the Council collaborated with Smart Futures to develop the "Fingal Voices" citizen engagement app. Users can access public consultations, gain points by engaging, and exchange points for gifts at local retailers. Engagement actions include voting, rating and commenting on consultations and submitting suggestions or feedback.

The COVID-19 Fingal Community Response Project, a collaboration between the Council and a multitude of local community centres, developed "Cocooning" a collection of activities for individuals self-isolating due to COVID-19. This booklet was created as part of the Council's "In This Together" campaign designed to promote physical and mental wellbeing during the pandemic. The "Cocooning" booklet contains a variety of activities, stories, and practical information on local support services.

Fingal County Council is developing the "Walk Bike Fingal" plan to redesign public spaces to improve social distancing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council has identified eight locations where physical dividers will be installed during the first phase of the plan. The goal of this plan is to temporarily provide residents with safe spaces where physical activity can be practiced without violating social distancing requirements.
