Selected applicants complete their free six-month residencies at The Settlement's Petone offices. Entrepreneurs participate in one-on-one consultations with business experts from the city and Creative HQ every other week. Additional benefits include co-working spaces, networking events with regional businesses, and business development workshops.

Hutt City Council is helping Wellington City Mission provide transitional housing for the homeless. The Council is providing Wellington City Mission with a three-year lease of the Britannia House and a $30,000 (NZD) grant to establish available housing. The initial program provides housing and social support for approximately 19 single men. This project is part of the Council's larger strategy for reducing homelessness by funding services and providing advocacy.
