Innisfil, ON approves a trio of micro-mobility pilots as part of its Transit Master Plan development
Town officials selected STEER Tech as the operator for all three pilots. A three-month e-shuttle trial in autumn 2022 serves 13 stops between the Barrie South GO station and Alcona. An e-carsharing pilot lasting one year offers two Tesla Model 3s for short-term rentals. Innisfil also plans for an e-scooter pilot in the summer of 2023 with a five-scooter fleet potentially expanding to 30. This pilot requires a new town bylaw regarding e-scooter operating rules.
