Northern Beaches, NSW Community Gatekeeper Training
Northern Beaches and community partners recruit young residents, seniors, and emergency service personnel. Participants learn how to identify early signs of suicidal thoughts and refer fellow residents to the best resources. Community Gatekeeper Training provides continuing development courses twice per year for improved service by volunteers. The training program aims for 1,000 volunteer gatekeepers over three years.
