City officials selected a section of New George Street with a high concentration of restaurants for the pilot. Contractors for services like Deliveroo and UberEats can stay in the zone for up to 30 minutes as they wait for orders. The zone accommodates bikes, motorcycles, and cars without obstructing pedestrians or other vehicles. Safer Delivery Zones may be introduced across Plymouth if pilot data show benefits for businesses, contractors, and commuters.
