Rockingham, WA Compost at Home Pilot Food Waste Disposal

The council selected 400 residents to participate in the one-year home composting trial. Each household chose a garden bin or indoor composter depending on their property size. Rockingham provided a guide on how to use each container as well as the impacts of composting on the environment. Participants complete quarterly surveys on their composting habits and potential improvements to a full version of the program.
