Westminster, CO gains insights into traffic problems with help of Intelligent Intersections system
The city received a free six-month trial of the smart traffic system as a winner of the 2020 Parsons Smart Cities Challenge. City officials selected Sheridan Boulevard for the pilot because of its heavy traffic volume. Intelligent Intersections uses Westminster's traffic sensor network to analyze 12 metrics including stop light arrivals and pedestrian delays.
