The county counsel's office worked with NextRequest to improve the quality of its Public Records Act portal. A Search tool helps portal users find responsive documents from previous requests. A streamlined request form is available for new requests. Eight departments including the Sheriff's Office and Public Works participated in the pilot. Marin County benefits from reduced paperwork from PRA applications, while users locate documents without lengthy applications.
