The Municipalities of Viborg, Skive, and Aalborg partnered with GROOVE X to pilot the LOVOT in Danish nursing homes. LOVOT is a social robot with artificial intelligence that responds to touch, speech, and eye contact. The pilot project was designed to investigate whether social robots can help increase the quality of life for people with dementia.

LOVOT er en social robot med kunstig intelligens, som reagerer på berøring, tale og øjenkontakt. Robotten er udviklet i Japan og skal for første gang testes udenfor hjemlandet på plejehjem i Viborg, Skive og Aalborg kommuner. Forskere fra Aalborg Universitet følger testen for at undersøge, om den sociale robot kan øge trivslen for mennesker med demens.
