The city of Mobile's GIS Department leveraged Instagram and GIS applications to quickly and accurately catalog all of it's blighted properties for the first time. This information was used to develop a true blight inventory map. The Neighborhood Development Department’s Code Enforcement team then deployed and surveyed all homes in Mobile city limits.
