Data sets available for public use cover topics including the city's tree population and neighborhood traffic patterns. Perth publishes data stories in the portal to show the impacts of smart technology on city life. Portal users can work with each other on data interpretation projects through the Collaboration space.

This project provided a Smart Cities Collaboration Market Place platform, enabling the city and its partners to collaborate and exchange ideas and data to evolve and scale technologies. Pilots, including a smart irrigation trial in public parks and a smart precinct project around the new Perth Stadium, have kick started use of the platform to demonstrate the benefits of collaboration in city planning.
