Whanganui District Council painted a new type of road marking in the town centre intersection. The hook turn box road marking helps cyclists safely turn right at busy intersections. Cyclists can use a hook turn to avoid crossing traffic travelling in the opposite direction and remain on the left side of the road at all times.
