Lethbridge, AB conducted three-month pilot of Parklets for downtown businesses

Lethbridge, AB Parklet Pilot Downtown Businesses

The city-owned Parklets are seating platforms that extend from sidewalks and fit within two street parking spaces. Downtown businesses were able to request Parklets at no charge or request a city grant to build their own. The pilot evaluated how Parklets improved business performance and pedestrian experiences. Business owners and residents were asked for feedback by survey with a gift card drawing used to increase participation.
