Basildon Borough Council, GB SWARCO EV Charging
Basildon and Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council first worked with SWARCO to install chargers on the Southend Arterial Road. The most recent project added five rapid chargers to Basildon car parks including three dedicated to taxis. Rochdale incorporated eight chargers into four car parks including six fast chargers. Council leaders are focusing on EV adoption among taxi drivers in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
