A six-month pilot rewarded 327 participants for walking, biking, or using scooters instead of driving. The borough worked with BetterPoints to create an app-based rewards system based on mileage and total activities. Participants turned earned rewards into vouchers for local businesses and charities. The BetterPoints pilot concluded with 28,000 trips covering 16,000 miles.

Eighty-one percent of participants reported changes to their commutes and 55% said they would continue new practices beyond the pilot.
