Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council launched a two-year trial of a new smart parking system using the AppyParking mobile app. The Council installed 1,750 smart parking sensors in car parks and street parking bays across the region. The sensors allow users of the AppyParking app to review real-time parking availability and pay for parking by the minute. The project was designed to improve the parking experience for residents, reduce congestion, and improve air quality.
