Paterson, NJ Driver's License Restoration Pilot Program

The city of Paterson launched the Paterson Driver's License Restoration Pilot Program to help residents whose driver's licenses were suspended due to unpaid municipal court fees. This amnesty provision was designed for residents with financial circumstances preventing them from getting their licenses restored which creates a barrier to gainful employment. Participation is limited to residents with suspensions due to unpaid parking tickets, moving violations, and insurance surcharges.
