The Hague, ZH Neighborhood Improvements Budgeting

The 2021 round of participatory budgeting decides how € 40,000 each is spent in Benoordenhout and Mariahoeve. A month-long submission process is open to anyone with an idea of how to enhance their neighborhood. City staffers narrow the list of finalists to projects that benefit the public, fit within the allotted budget, and can be completed within one year. Residents aged 12 years and older select their preferred projects with an online voting platform.
