Madison, WI Community Alternative Response Emergency Service

En curso

The City of Madison is launching a Community Alternative Response Emergency Services (CARES) pilot program which allows 911 operators to choose to send a mental health crisis worker alongside a community paramedic from the fire department. The participating community paramedics will receive additional training from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The CARES team will arrive at non-violent emergencies in a van branded with the program logo instead of an ambulance.
