The Back on the Bull website draws on behavioral research from Duke University to strengthen local responses to the pandemic. A self-assessment checklist allows any business to enter their current practices and receive industry-specific guidelines in 15 minutes. Companies that complete the checklist are promoted through an online directory. Back on the Bull contains digital versions of posters encouraging mask use and social distancing with visuals based on Durham's Bull City nickname.
