Cobb County, GA implements real-time medical monitoring wristband system for at-risk inmates
Cobb County, GA at-risk inmates medical monitoring
The Cobb County Sheriff's Office is implementing a medical monitoring wristband system to track the location and heart rate of at-risk inmates. The wristbands developed by Black Creek Integrated Systems are hypoallergenic, waterproof, and secured by a specialized clasp. The wristband's battery life is between 30 to 90 days and the location tracking is accurate within 2 meters. The wristbands will be monitored in a database at all times and a lack of a heart rate automatically triggers the alarm.
