County residents register on the Hampshire Kitchen Heroes website to participate in monthly challenges. Food-saving activities like food diaries and shared recipes for leftovers result in Green Points for participants. The resident with the most Green Points each month chooses a £20 shopping voucher or a donation to a local organization. Hampshire County Council hopes to reduce the £60 in monthly food waste per family with this campaign.
