Liverpool City Council, GB considers the United Kingdom's first underground waste bin system

Liverpool City Council, GB First Underground Waste Bin

Pianificazione

The proposed project replaces public trash bins with subterranean super bins at 140 locations. Passersby would use above-ground disposal points similar to their access to existing bins. Smart bins holding up to 5,000 liters of refuse reduce odors and pests. The system also supports Liverpool's anti-litter partnership with Keep Britain Tidy. City officials will meet with residents across the 27,000 terraced houses without on-site bin access in the project's early stages.
