London Borough of Newham, GB improves infrastructure for EV drivers with Allego on-street chargers

London Borough of Newham, GB Allego EV Infrastructure

The borough worked with Allego to add 40 dual-socket chargers for on-street parking spots. Newham will add another 40 chargers as part of its Allego partnership. A plug-in car can recharge to full capacity in as little as two hours. EV drivers use the Smoov app to pay for their charges. The council provides a free parking permit for each resident's first EV. Newham is working with other London boroughs to encourage ultra-low emission commuting through EV ownership.
