The overview section presents total spending, the number of transactions, and spending by each agency. The Spending Explorer handles searches by vendor name and spending category. This feature also graphs spending by month and vendors receiving the most city business. City staffers update Open Checkbook every quarter and adjust the interface based on user feedback.
