Houston, TX combines GIS mapping and survey data to identify its most dangerous streets
Houston, TX GIS mapping and survey data on dangerous streets
The City of Houston's Planning Department is conducting a Vision Zero Survey in order to prioritize street safety improvements based on feedback from residents. Residents are also being asked to identify specific dangerous streets and intersections on an interactive map. EngagementHQ's GIS functionality allows the City to highlight the streets with the highest percent of fatal crashes. The City is using this crowdsourced data to develop an action plan to end traffic deaths and serious injuries.
