Kamloops, BC Incentive Program Zero Emission Buildings
The voluntary Step Code Incentive Program was designed after months of collaboration between city planning officials and local builders. Participating builders learn about StepWin design software and the province's goal of net zero-emission buildings by 2032. Kamloops requires a building permit application and final documentation showing each project's green components. Participants receive up to $3,000 per project for completing all three steps.
