Four borough residents will be selected for a two-year program with Think Ahead. Future mental health social workers start with a four-week Summer Institute. The program's first year combines on-the-job training by an experienced social worker with completion of a social work diploma. Participants work as licensed social workers while earning their master's degree in the second year. Think Ahead offers monthly stipends through year one and the council employs students in year two.
