Peoria has a special farm where bioswales, a stormwater forest and other green infrastructure absorbs excess stormwater and helps prevent sewer overflows.
Projeto foi bem sucedido
The project won the "2019 Illinois Green Alliance Emerald Award for Community Engagement" and the "2019 Sun Foundation Making Waves" awards. The project has greened 1.6 acres, manages 1.3 million gallons of stormwater annually, and creates 20 internships annually.
