Residents of Central Essex and South Braintree request rides through the TravelEssex app. This Moovit-powered app includes fare payment, vehicle tracking, and dynamic routing features. Plug-in electric shuttles provide rides to common destinations including train stations, hospitals, and market towns. One-way rides range from £2.50 to £8.00 for adults depending on the distance traveled. Essex County Council received a grant from the UK's Rural Mobility Fund for the two-year pilot.
