The council's GREENER Newcastle initiative produced an interactive map based on Lidar data. Solar PV Map users enter addresses to find out if their homes and businesses can accommodate rooftop panels. Estimates of optimal panel amounts are based on assessments of roof dimensions and shade from surrounding structures. This tool offers approximate installation costs and annual savings along with a search tool for qualified installers.
