Casey and Gender & Disaster Australia created a checklist for facility design, support, and emergency birth services. This tool guides first responders through considerations like translation needs and inclusive restrooms. A two-hour training combined checklist items with first-hand narratives from past emergencies. Emergency personnel brought best practices for inclusive services to life during a simulation exercise. The city later added the checklist to its Emergency Management Handbook.
